The music of Channa Sachi Muchi starring Miss Pooja was launched earlier this week. Channa Sachi Muchi stars Miss Pooja, Goldy Somal, Jas Prem Dhillon and Rana Ranbir. The film is Written & Directed by Harinder Gill and produced by Iqbal Dhillon. The music of the album has been composed by a number of composers like Jassi Bros, Tiger Style, Kam Frantic, Amar Haldipur and Maqbool Khan so it really is a culmination of many styles. There are slow beats and sometimes there is too much going on. The songs have been written by Romi Tahli, Sukha 38wala, Sajjan Singh Hunjan, Amrik Shera and Khawaza Parvez. The music of the upcoming film Channa Sachi Muchi plays like a various compilation of songs due to the obvious reason of there being so many singers and so many composers. There are 5 different composers for 9 songs and 7 singers including Miss Pooja, Manjit Rupowalia, Masha Ali, Surmanpreet, Feroz Khan and Nishan Singh. Needless to say that there are a number of duets, 3 exactly and 1 double male duet.
Rani Randeep’s Sharabiya is downright winner in the album, with a very rhythmic music and beats and Rani Randeep showing her total control over her voice, this is a must listen. Doesn’t matter if you watch the film or not, listen to this track and you will be overwhelmed by the quality of content and voice. Secondly Miss Pooja & Feroz Khan’s duet song Jag Sohna Sohna is again a wonderful track. Great tuning between both of the singers and a track which sets a high standard of duet singing. If Miss Pooja would sing such duets she will truly become the famous Queen of duet songs. Dard again is a great track, with good quality and moody voice from Pooja. This track is significant for Pooja has shown great flexibility for modulation in her voice.
The most unimpressive is the title track Channa Sachi Muchi where there is just too much of music for the ears. Compared to the title track, the Remix of Channa Sachi Muchi at the end of the album is a lot lot better. Soch Ke Banayi is a very average track which falls flat on ears. Nothing special. Oh Naina Naal could have been a great track but it has weird lyrics and music and a great singing talent of Masha Ali has been wasted.
Even in Punjaban Pooja sang a Hindi song and the same trick has been repeated in Channa Sachi Muchi with the track Dilruba, which is an average track. Nishan has a good voice but he has sung the song as if it was a Quwali, and Pooja sings as if its a Mujra. Mehndi is above average with nice composition and good singing by Pooja, but somehow it doesn’t last in ears and one tends to forget it.
Now, mostly we have shabad and religious tracks in the beginning, but in Channa Sachi Muchi, Shabad comes at the end. There is nothing offensive there, but still… Anyway, the track start off really well, but gets repetitive after a while. The song might impress if its picturized properly, otherwise it might end up as Punjaban’s religious track. Summarizing the album, its safe to say that the music is average. But Music for films is supposed to be enhanced in the film, so maybe it will have a better appeal in the film. As an individual album, this is an average album. Listen before buying.
